Rumor has it that Marc by Marc Jacobs, the designer’s more affordable, more popular and much more prevalent contemporary label, is going the way of the dodo. But before those chunky leather bags, quirky prints and iPhone accessories get relegated to our memories (and discount bins at Nordstrom Rack), the brand is setting out on a cross-country road trip to promote its sunnies this summer. With stops in NY and Miami, the truck will land at L.A.’s the Grove Saturday, July 11 from 1 to 9 p.m.
Once the truck parks itself at the Grove, shoppers will be able to peruse the latest collections for guys and girls, all while being surrounded by a lounge, music inspired by the glasses, free refreshments and more. Once you’ve chosen your new summer sunnies, you’ll have the chance to monogram them (and trust us, during summer — and every season, really — everything is better with tequila a monogram). So get to it while getting’s good, because nobody knows how much longer Marc by Marc Jacobs will be around and you’ll want a piece to put in the archives.
