Pink Positive: Our Top Breast Cancer Awareness Picks

Clockwise from upper left: KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer, Chan Luu Think Pink, Live Green Bracelets, Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Scented Candle, Sabre Red Pink Pepper Spray, Coach for a Cure Kristin Leather Hippie and OPI Pink Shatter

We appreciate the thought, designers, but the last thing we need is another canvas tote — even if proceeds go to Breast Cancer Awareness. Instead of picking some pink products that won’t ever see the light of day, here are our choices for Breast Cancer Awareness Month that you’ll actually be proud to use. From a bag you’ll want to carry to something that can fend off any intruder, we’ll gladly think pink with these picks. There are only a few more days of October, so get shopping!

KitchenAid Artisan Susan G. Komen Stand Mixer ($400)

KitchenAid’s classic mixer gets a pink makeover courtesy a hot magenta paint job. You can make tasty treats with this hot mixer and know that a sweet portion of your sales went to support the Susan G. Komen Cook for the Cure efforts.

Chan Luu Think Pink, Live Green Bracelets ($20-190)

With 50% of proceeds going to BreastCancer.org, this is one of the most charitable choices you can make this month. Whether you choose the Pink Crystal Wrap or the Indian Aventurine multi-wrap bracelet, you’ll be looking great while giving back.

Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Scented Candle ($45)

Ralph’s Pink Pony Collection donates specifically to medically underserved communities, so every time you fill your house with the scent of Chinese peony, pink lily of the valley, pink magnolia, sweet pea and white rose, you can breath a sigh of relief. Ten percent of Pink Pony sales go to charity, so stock up on these perfect holiday and hostess gifts.

Sabre Red Pink Pepper Spray ($10)

The team at Sabre Red is all about safety, so leave it to them to donate a portion of proceeds from their Pink Pepper Spray to NBCF, which helps women protect themselves from breast cancer through education and screenings. Featuring their maximum strength formula and ballistic stream technology (which prevents wind blow-back), this handy item will help fend off naughties of all kinds.

Coach for a Cure Kirstin Leather Hippie ($258)

Speaking of purses, Coach released a collection of bags that’ll put designer canvas totes to shame. Their Coach for a Cure collection features the Kirstin, one of their most popular silhouettes, in a soft petal pink hue (which is totally on trend for spring), which is a versatile bag that’ll be your go-to no matter what time of year it is. 20% of the sales from the Kirstin, as well as a watch, scarf, key chain and clutch will go to BCRF.

OPI Pink Shatter ($8.50)

Continuing their support of breast cancer charities, OPI’s debuting an addition to their popular shatter collection, Pink Shatter. After their other popular breast cancer color, Pink of Hearts, gained cult status, this addition adds some fun to any manicure. But if the sales of Black Shatter are any indication, you’ll have to act quick to get your hands on this.

2012 Fiat 500 Pink Ribbon Edition

2012 Fiat 500 Pink Ribbon Edition (starting at $22,000)

And our favorite of the bunch? Without a doubt, we’d love to get into one of the Fiat 500 Pink Ribbon Editions. With $1,000 from each sale going to BCRF, Fiat assures us that this is just the beginning of a long partnership. There’s a pink racing stripe on the exterior of the car (and a pink ribbon, naturally), but the interior also boasts pink stitching and pink ribbon detailing throughout, meaning you’ll be perfectly pink from every angle.
