Green fashion isn’t just about a billowing peasant blouses, maxi-skirts made of recycled burlap bags and Project Runway challenges. One of our favorite California-based labels, Amour Vert, is about to bring great green fashion to the masses. Teaming with Bloomingdale’s, the San Francisco label is taking their collection of Parisian-meets-California style to the entire country.

Previously available only online and in a few boutiques dotted here and there, the brand has amassed a loyal following in and out of its hometown thanks to great design that’s a bit boho, a little beach girl and a major dose of Francophile chic. And while we’re all about the brand’s green initiatives (Amour Vert will plant a tree for every t-shirt that they sell) and it’s high profile collab with Goop, the clothes have a style that belies the label’s green roots.

Amour Vert uses a combo of organic cotton, silk, recycled polyester, linen, tencel and modal in its designs and emphasizes a high/low mix of natural elements and glamour while creating a line that boasts zero waste. Plus, the cute shorts, track pants and airy tops are things you’ll actually want to wear.

The label is planning on opening its very first storefront this year (in SF’s Hayes Valley), but until then, you can head to select Bloomingdale’s locations nationwide, including San Francisco (naturally), Santa Monica and more, to check out Amour Vert’s goods in Y.E.S. Contemporary. You’ll still find the biggest selection of Amour Vert’s offerings online, but heading to Bloomingdale’s is a great way to shop the brand’s standout pieces and check out Amour Vert’s very own brand of green chic.
