Fall weather can be fickle. As much as we dream of PSLs and wearing coats, the reality is that it’s still sweltering some days. Other days, the morning offers a bit of a chill and the afternoon sizzles like it’s still summer. How to deal? Layer up. One of our favorite things about fall fashion is the opportunity to dress in layers to stave off cold and soak up the sun with just a quick change. A long sweater offers plenty of warmth, but one without sleeves might do the trick when you’re not facing a windchill. A cold shoulder is chic — always — but it also offers some cutout relief. The pieces below will give up plenty of opportunity for thoughtful layering, so you can add and subtract as necessary. All you need is a go-to long-sleeved T-shirt or turtleneck, a few of these knits and you’re set to cruise right into fall and winter.
