Inside La Perla’s San Francisco boutique
La Perla is known for creating some of the sexiest lingerie in the business, but thanks to a pair of new stores, the sexy Italian label is going to be known for beautiful boutiques, too. The brand has opened up a new shop on Geary Street in San Francisco and remodeled its location at Orange County’s South Coast Plaza to showcase their collection and the architecture and design of Italian maestro Roberto Baciocchi.

The new stores feature Baciocchi’s blend of Italian architecture and modern touches. So while you may be stopping in for La Perla’s signature sex appeal via bras, panties and lingerie, make sure you don’t miss out on the soft environs, too. Both of the stores are among the first locations worldwide to get the Baciocchi treatment, which softens La Perla’s precious retail concept, which featured black and white marble and silver fixtures. The new concept incorporates architectural details such as archways, hand painted frescoes and gilt hangers and fixtures that show off the soft pieces and La Perla’s expansion into ready-to-wear. Vitrines and drawers feature soft velvet interiors, so feel free to run your fingers along the lingerie-inspired displays. Both stores feature soft blush marble floors and soft lighting, so it’s less of a boudoir feel than you might expect, but it’s still super feminine and the perfect way to display La Perla’s collections, which include swimwear, shoes and accessories as well as underpinnings.
