We’re celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness month with a slew of picks, ranging from clothes and accessories that give back to various charities to beauty brands who see pink as a year-round hue, not just something to shine the spotlight on once a year. One standout selection is the Dr.’s Remedy Power of Pink Collection ($17 each), a trio of pink polishes that aren’t only pretty, they’re packed with vitamins and nutrients that will leave your nails looking better than ever. Plus, Dr.’s Remedy will be donating 10% of proceeds from the Power of Pink Collection to Living Beyond Breast Cancer, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of women living with breast cancer.

“As we grow as a company we look to give more and more back to the community,” says Dr. Cirlincione, Dr.’s Remedy co-founder. “By giving a portion proceeds this month to LBBC, we feel we can help do our part to help those in need and elevate some of the stresses of those going through this unfortunate process.”

Each vegan polish is enriched with wheat protein, tea tree oil, garlic bulb extract and lavender to nourish nails while providing rich, saturated color (there are over 30 to choose from). And while most polishes on the market at free of the big three bad ingredients, Dr.’s Remedy takes it a step further and removes five: formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor and pthalates. The whole line — which includes a top and base coat — is even recommended by the American Podiatric Medical Association.

In addition to representing breast cancer charities with pink hues, the Power of Pink collection uses inspiring and empowering names, developed at Dr.’s Remedy to create a sense of positivity and serenity. Drs. Cirlincione and Spielfogel wanted a collection not only to empower those facing breast cancer themselves, but for anyone supporting a friend or family member battling cancer. During cancer treatment, the hair and skin are the first places to show the side-effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. With something as simple as a manicure or pedicure, those facing treatment can feel great without added risk. This collection of pink polishes seeks to help those women feel good about themselves and strengthen their nails at the same time.
