The Bite Beauty Butter Cream Lipstick ($28) might look odd thanks to its squared off top, but that hand cut edge is what sets this lipstick apart from the rest.
“I was obsessed with creating the creamiest lipstick texture ever possible, and when I created this hand-cut technique in the lab, I knew it was the one,” says Susanne Langmuir, Founder and CEO of Bite Beauty. “It creates a texture that is hands-down habit-forming. Most lipsticks, whether they’re from Bite or not, have waxes in their formula. And because of the nature of their formulas, the wax spreads to the outer layer of a lipstick. That means that the core of a lipstick is richer and creamier that the rest. So Bite took it upon themselves to slice off the tip and let you get straight to the good stuff: the core.
