Monaco, just a stone’s throw (or diamond, if you know anything about the south of France) is having a moment. Not only did Grace of Monaco, a film about Grace Kelly starring Nicole Kidman, premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, but Louis Vuitton showed its latest resort collection in Monaco. And just before Monaco’s Grand Prix celebrations (they’re set to start this weekend), Gucci announced that Charlotte Casiraghi, Grace Kelly’s granddaughter and fifth in line to the Monegasque throne, would be the face of the brand’s new beauty line, to be launched this fall.

If you’re familiar with Gucci, it’ll be no surprise that Casiraghi was chosen as the brand’s beauty face. She’s not only beautiful, but she’s modeled for the brand’s Forever Now campaign. In addition, Gucci has partnered with Casiraghi by outfitting her for equestrian events, including the Global Champions Tour.

“I have really enjoyed my relationship with Frida over these last four years, and I am now excited to work with her again on this signature product,” said Casiraghi. “I have great admiration for her both as a designer and a strong and visionary woman.”

Casiraghi will appear in print material to be shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott as well as a digital film directed by Fabien Baron that promises to capture her in a “series of stolen moments which bring the spirit of the Gucci Cosmetics collection to life via Casiraghi’s mesmerizing beauty and modern allure.”

The beauty line, which will be under the Proctor & Gamble Prestige umbrella, is being overseen by makeup artist Pat McGrath, who is responsible for Gucci’s runway looks that walk the runways during Milan Fashion Week. The collection will include color cosmetics for eyes, lips and nail as well as complexion products, brushes and skincare. The line will be available in select stores this fall.

Gucci’s announcement follows similar moves from brands such as Michael Kors and Tory Burch, who both launched capsule collections of beauty and skincare products with Estée Lauder last year and Burberry, which entered the cosmetics market in 2010.
