Sephora x Pantone Universe Color of the Year 2016
In years past, we’ve been blessed with color collections from Sephora incorporating Pantone’s Color of the Year. Marsala was a boom for vampy ladies who love deep lippies and before that, emerald let everyone get a little playful with an unexpected hue. This year, the beauty megastore is teaming with Pantone Universe again for a color collection that incorporates both of 2016’s colors of the year. That’s right, instead of choosing just one shade to rep 2016, Pantone has given us two: Serenity, a pale blue, and Rose Quartz, a baby pink. Naturally, Sephora’s limited-edition collection takes advantage of both — with a few unexpected options.
The Sephora x Pantone Universe Color of the Year 2016 Collection includes an eyeshadow palette, the Modern Watercolors Eyes Palette ($39), that incorporates plenty of shades that you’ll want to wear no matter the color of the year. Naturally, it includes 2016’s star shades, but you’ve got a total of 24 colors to get a multitude of looks. In addition to the Eyes Palette, Sephora also has the Modern Watercolors Lip Set ($28), a coffret of lip colors that are soft and sheer, so don’t fear that yellow shade. The formula features sunflower seed wax and vitamin E to provide intense hydration for a luxe, plush feel on the lips. Mix and match, because the sheer shades are meant to play together and create unlimited combinations of colors.

The Color of the Year Matte Lipstick ($18) is a full-on take on Serenity, the year’s blue hue. The more approachable Color of the Year Layer Lipstick ($18) is a sheer pink that boasts a satin finish that you’ll want to wear every year.
