Twenty years ago, Kate Spade made her fashion debut with her now-famed Sam bag, which swung from the shoulder of fashion fans for years. The boxy bag is what built the Kate Spade empire (which is now referred to as Kate Spade New York), and two decades later the brand is bigger than ever — complete with a line of home goods, paper products, beauty items and ready to wear. Kate Spade New York had the experts at Elizabeth Arden concoct their debut scent, Twirl, but with Live Colorfully, however, they’ve taken everything in-house for a show-stopping celebration of two decades in the fashion industry.
Live Colorfully is the brainchild of Kate Spade New York creative director Deborah Lloyd and a cherry-picked team of pals she felt knew the brand’s DNA inside and out. Poppy King, an FTD fave and frequent collaborator helped mix the juice, alongside Fabrice Penot, Edouard Roschi and Firmenich. Live Colorfully blends together tiare flower, mandarin, musk, coconut water, amber, musk and Tahitian vanilla. In addition to the fragrance, the brand will also be debuting a Live Colorfully capsule collection of apparel and accessories to fête the brand’s 20 year anniversary.
