Bobbi Brown Neons and Nudes

It was hard to avert our eyes away from the flouro Cambridge Satchel Co. bags at Fashion Week, so it’s no surprise that some of the biggest names in beauty are embracing the same hues for spring. Neons are making themselves known at Cambridge Satchel Company New York Fashion Weekjust about every makeup counter now. But you know that when Bobbi Brown, the master of wearable color, takes on a trend that it’s not just for runways and editorials. Ms. Brown took the trend and translated it into colorful accents of shocking color combined with ultra-wearable nude shades. The result? Her Neons and Nudes collection. But Brown wasn’t the only one to get in on the game, though. Get your sunglasses out and get ready to get your glow on with these neon beauty picks.

The neon part of Neons and Nudes? They’d be Atomic Orange and Neon Pick lipstick ($23 each). Paired with colors from her Ultra Nude Eye Palette, Bobbi’s created a modern take on something that can veer dangerously into ’80s territory. By putting the focus on the statement lip, her look is modern, clean and not at all scary. We get it though, sporting a fluorescent mouth isn’t for everyone. For the less daring, she’s got sheerer glosses, Citrus and Cosmic Pink, that look neon in the tubes but go on nearly clear.

Le Metier de Beaute Jet Set for Spring 2012

Le Metier de Beauté Jet Set Collection

Known for luxury ingredients (just about all their formulas include skincare elements) and an approachable palette of bronzes, nudes and browns, Le Metier de Beauté brings a jolt to their line with the introduction of their spring Jet Set collection ($18-36). The resort-ready palette of tangerine gloss and neon polishes was curated by Neiman Marcus’s Ken Downing, and a hot neon pedi in one of these hues will certainly chase away the winter doldrums.Whether you opt for the glosses or the polishes (we’re partial to ShoKEN Pink), they’re a first-class way to get in on the trend.

Lancome Color Fever Gloss in Green Petal

And for those of you who are still feeling faint at the sight of all these brights, Lancôme’s Green Petal Color Fever Gloss ($26)  just looks bright in the tube. Part of Aaron de Mey’s Spring Roseraie des Delices collection fort the Parisian brand, the bright green gloss imparts a high shine and subtle green shimmers that are barely perceptible. What you will see, though, is an amplified pout thanks to those light-reflecting shimmer particles. For the faint of heart, this green gloss is like dipping your toe into neon without going past the saturation point.
