After settling into their new venture The Great and hitting their stride with another PB Teen collab, Emily Current and Meritt Elliott are joining forces with Old Navy. The designing duo have been named the label’s latest Style Ambassadors, joining the ranks of fellow fashion-focused fellas Joe Zee and Brad Goreski.

The two-month long appointment gives the former Current/Elliott designers a chance to play up their styling savvy again, having come from the world of celeb styling and parlaying that knowledge into the world of design, both in fashion and interiors. Together with Old Navy and a cherry-picked selection of bloggers, Current and Elliot have produced a series of videos and look books detailing the major trends for spring.

“We always gravitate to projects that are rooted in classic American style,” Current said.

While the duo appear in one of the videos, they’ve enlisted Jen Coleman and Laura Wiertzema from online boutique Ascot & Hart as well as blogger Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior and actress Jamie Chung. Each will focus on a specific trend: Coleman and Wiertzema illustrate boyfriend dressing while Duprie focuses on travel essentials and brings a few packing tips along with her. And just int time for Coachella, Chung was chosen to embody the music-festival-hopping boho babe.

“It reinforces the notion that Old Navy is a family brand,” Elliott told WWD. “We want to make sure people understood it’s a great place to go for one-stop shopping.”

Each of the models chosen integrated their own favorite pieces along with choice picks from Old Navy’s spring collection.
