Before the era of athleisure, it was tough to find sneakers that you could wear with a dress that weren’t canvas classics. But times, they are a’changing. Designers are all sprinting at the new trend of athletic wear as real clothes and the newest foray into hybrid fashion is a new collab with Kate Spade Saturday and New Balance.
New Balance is a Fashion Week favorite already. With classic American cool and J. Crew-approved styling (thanks, Jenna!), the fashion set is already obsessed with the line whether they’re looking for sneaks to wear with a skirt or just shoes to wear when you’re doing more walking than curb to cab. So naturally, Kate Spade’s sister line, Kate Spade Saturday, teamed with the Boston-based sneaker company for a collab that brings together the best of both brands.
The two brands have laced together a collab that features the bright, bold patterns and peppy, preppy colors of Kate Spade Saturday with the signature silhouettes that New Balance is known for. And not only are these kicks comfortable, they won’t break the bank, ringing in at just $95 each. Both the 711 model and the 811 got the Kate Spade Saturday treatment, so you’ll have a choice of trainers to track down once the collection hits stores in February of 2015.
