While he’s managed to stay under the radar for the past few seasons, Peter Som is still very much at the forefront of fashion. Skipping out on Fashion Week presentations doesn’t mean that the man is skipping out on his design duties. Far from it: Som has teamed with Anthropologie for a summer capsule collection that will have both Upper East Side girls and even the most die-hard downtown girls alike flocking to their nearest Anthro.

“They get that mad cap, eclectic kind of mix, which is what I love. We both love happy clothes,” Som said. “The great thing about it was that I wasn’t constrained creatively at all. Now I’m able to bring what I do to so many more people.”

As part of the store’s ongoing Made in Kind collaboration series (past participants include collab-happy designer Chris Benz, Timo Weiland, Karen Walker and more), the Som collection is a perfect blend of Anthro’s boho vibe and Som’s more upper crust aesthete. Standouts from the collection include bright floral dresses that will have Som’s usual clientele chomping at the bit and a zany mashup floral-meets-zebra dress that includes the zebra print straight from his Spring 2013 collection.

While some girls will flock straight for the mixed-media dresses, more demure dames will definitely want to pick up the more sedate separates, including a zebra print blouse, floral skirts — the design was taken from a trip that Som took to the New York Flower District — and a wear-everywhere maxi.
