Disney has enlisted nine of the world’s best shoe designers for a one-of-a-kind collaboration that gives every girl the chance to have her own Cinderella moment. To celebrate the release of the live-action film this March, Disney has asked shoe designers to give their own interpretation of Cinderella’s glass slippers, perhaps one of the most iconic pairs of shoes in the collective consciousness (sorry, Dorothy!). The collaboration will be celebrated at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York and Beverly Hills, where shoppers will get a chance to see costumes from the film along with the capsule collection of fairy tale creations.

“Each pair of shoes in this exciting global collection captures Cinderella’s elegance and grace through the lens of celebrated designers, making this shoe collection truly fit for a princess,” Jonathan Symington, vice president and general manager, licensing, Disney Entertainment at Disney Consumer Products told WWD.

The designers participating include Paul Andrew, Alexandre Birman, René Caovilla, Jimmy Choo, Salvatore Ferragamo, Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, Jerome C. Rousseau and Stuart Weitzman.

Both the New York and Beverly Hills Saks Fifth Avenue locations will fête the collab with window displays that will showcase the collection along with props and costumes, but the real fun will be in Saks’ 10022-SHOE department, where shoppers will get a chance to shop the collection, which ranges from a sky-high heel from Charlotte Olympia (which includes the designer’s signature offset platform), a bootie from Stuart Weitzman and more classic pump styles from Jimmy Choo and Ferragamo.

Swarovski, who created the shoes in the film with direction from Oscar winner Sandy Powell, provided the crystal elements for each design.

“The tale of Cinderella is rich in romance and tradition, thus the collaboration between Saks Fifth Avenue and Disney felt natural,” said Mark Briggs, Saks’ chief marketing and creative officer.

In America, the shoes will be exclusive to the Manhattan and Los Angeles Saks Fifth Avenue locations in the month leading up to the film’s debut on March 13. Internationally, the collection will be available at Galleries Lafayette, Harrods, Isetan and more. Additionally, the stars of the film, Lily James and Richard Madden, will appear on Saks’ catalog.
