Scalise Brings the French Riviera to Robertson Boulevard

Just in time for summer getaways, French luxury brand Scalise opens its doors on Robertson Boulevard. The St. Tropez-based label is known overseas for luxe swimwear and offering resort-ready gear all year long, so it’s no surprise that it chose L.A. as the location of its first stateside store.

Located in the former Monika Chiang spot, the sunny and bright Scalise store takes inspiration from the brand’s seaside roots. Scalise’s collections include mens’ and women’s ready-to-wear and swimwear as well as offerings for kids, too. Unfamiliar with the line? Think of it as a laid back version of J. Crew or Vineyard Vines, only with a more French sensibility. You won’t find embroidered pants, but you will find faded chinos and light-as-air linen shirts to wear on and off of your yacht.

The store, which is peppered with reclaimed wood and even has a faux-boardwalk style display, also offers accessories and other beach necessities such as woven belts, canvas and leather bags and colorful bracelets. The L.A. store is also offering limited-edition items that you’ll only find at select locations worldwide, including floral bathing suits and more.

The opening of Scalise is just the most recent in a string of French brands, including the recently opened Iro on Beverly Boulevard (in addition to Maje and Sandro) as well as the expansion of luxe swim line Vilebreqin, which added to its retail presence with locations at the Malibu Lumber Yard and inside the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica.

Scalise is located at 108 S. Robertson Blvd., in Los Angeles. For more information, visit www.scaliseshop.com.
