Chic ‘Rest’ Stops For The Fashion Fatigued. Wink. Wink.

In recent weeks, we’ve seen some of fashion’s finest falling from grace faster than new trends hit the floor at H&M!

Balmain's Christophe Decarnin

A few too many drinks allegedly spurred John Galliano’s headline-making tirade. And during Paris Fashion Week, Balmain’s main man, Christophe Decarnin, was mysteriously MIA. The Cut, New York Magazine’s fashion blog, reported that Balmain owner M. Alain Hivelin gave the Telegraph's Hilary Alexander a vague explanation: "He's tired, after working on the collection. … No, he's NOT retired. He's just tired. ... he's resting." OK.From exhaustion to expletives, the reasons esteemed designers are dropping like flies confound us. But we agree that a break from the sewing machine and sketch pad are definitely in order!Should any of our other favorite designers contemplate mad rants, nervous breakdowns or, say, hiring Lindsay Lohan, to walk the runway, may we that suggest they consult Fashion Trends Daily’s list for a few fashionable “hot spots” from where to cool down. Or they could always pop in for a visit with Charlie Sheen, in which case we say: A round of tiger blood for everyone!

Passages Malibu Malibu, California

Ready to care: The detox program at Passages promises that the “drug treatment program will work with you to insure that the uncomfortable pain or danger that can be associated with detox will be minimized as much as possible,” which still sounds painful.

Accoutrements: Acupuncture and massage as well as one-on-one therapy sessions promise quick and effective addiction management. Think straightforward cleanup, inside and out.

Haute clientele: Lindsay Lohan, Charlie Sheen and Britney Spears

the meadows

The Meadows Wickenberg, Arizona Ready to care: In addition to detox, they’ll help patients cope with sex addiction, gambling addiction and more. It’s like a one-stop shop for purging your every vice.Accoutrements: Focused on building self-esteem, the Meadows is all about teaching patients to make good decisions through equine therapy, yoga, art therapy and spiritual counseling.Haute clientele: possibly John Galliano. The jury’s still out on that one.

Sierra Tucson Tucson, Arizona

Ready to care: It’s a combo of “medical, psychological, therapeutic and self-help components” for a holistic recovery process all in the middle of the desert, which means outer demons are left at home and inner ones are all you’ll face.

Accoutrements: Journaling, meditation and Somatic therapy alongside acupuncture mean you’ll have a whole menu of therapies to choose from!

Haute clientele: Michael Douglas and Jesse James have all paid Sierra Tucson a visit

betty ford center

Betty Ford Center Rancho Mirage, California

Ready to care: Unlike other “spa”-style centers, patients at the Ford Clinic have chores, and get no special treatment. Awww, man! No Fair!

Accoutrements: This place, concepted around a traditional 12-step model, is no frills and no fancy New Age mumbo jumbo. Feeling antisocial? Opt for the outpatient option, where you can get clean in the comfort of your own home. But since every patient gets “a physician, nurse, psychologist, primary counselor, case manager, spiritual care counselor, family counselor, dietician, fitness trainer, chemical dependency technician and alumni services representative,” you might need to get a few Aerobeds to accommodate the staff.

Haute clientele: Drew Barrymore, Billy Joel, Liza Minnelli, Bobby Brown, Elizabeth Taylor, Stevie Nicks, Johnny Cash, etc., etc.. Basically, the whole of US Weekly.

crossroads centre

Crossroads Centre St. John’s, Antigua

Ready to care: Founded by Eric Clapton, this tropical escape is no vacay. Sure, you’ve got the beach just steps away, but if you stray off the 12-step path, you’ll probably get voted off the island.

Accoutrements: Traditional and holistic treatment elements are combined to create what Crossroads describes as a “whole person” approach, so complimentary treatments get paired with a customized course of treatment tailored to every patient.

Haute clientele: Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Billy Joel
