Ruffian is one of New York’s most beloved brands. Favored by models off duty and fashion bloggers, the rough-and-tumble meets downtown glam brand has gained a legion of loyal fans that trek downtown for their fashion presentations season after season — the nail art alone is worth the sojourn for some. But ignoring tips for the time being, the brand is bringing focus south of the ankles, where they’ve teamed up with Frye for a capsule collection of footwear to debut February 9 during New York Fashion Week. The designing duo and Fry, which happens to be celebrating 150 years in the business of shoemaking, will debut the shoes and boots and make them available online after the show. No need to wait, because after seeing the snakeskin, embroidered, beaded and tasseled creations, you won’t be able to resist. Some styles even feature 24-karat gold leaf embellishment, which we’re sure will catch the eye of every Tommy Ton and Scott Schuman at Lincoln Center.
The Ruffian x Frye collection will be available at www.thefryecompany.com.
