Fashion Island shoppers may have noticed some major changes happening at the seaside shopping center’s Anthropologie location. Namely, it’s having a little work done. The results of those little nips and tucks are about to be revealed when the store re-opens its doors this Friday, April 22, giving Orange County shoppers a unique shopping experience and a truly one-of-a-kind location.

Fans of Anthro know that each store has its own look, feel and personality, but with Fashion Island’s upgraded location, the store will be truly unique. The already huge spot is nearly doubling in size, going from 13,000 square feet to 25,000, making it the largest store in Orange County.

“As O.C.’s first home for Anthropologie, we’re excited for all the changes in store at the Fashion Island location,” Easther Liu, chief marketing officer of Irvine Company Retail Properties, said in a statement. “We can’t wait for the final reveal and we’re betting women in O.C. will be eagerly awaiting it as well.”

And what, exactly, will be filling all that new space? Fashion Island’s Anthropologie will be the first California location to get a special home furnishings-focused format, meaning that there will be plenty of lust-worthy furniture on display in 12 full-scale vignettes that really showcase how the pieces work together. There will even be an on-site design studio, where shoppers can consult with experts on how exactly to outfit their abodes with all the new offerings. They’ll even be able to order custom pieces through the new service, creating truly personalized picks.

In addition to home goods, the larger location will also be stocked with plenty of beauty products, housed in a special dedicated shop-in-shop. Expect to find a very Anthro mix of brands, such as Artis, Face Stockholm, and RMS. Hair care, skin care, color cosmetics and bath products will all be available in addition to fragrance and more.

To complete the makeover, Fashion Island’s location will be bringing in over 50 new labels across apparel, footwear and lingerie (with picks from hard-t0-find European label), adding under-the-radar brands as well as big names like Loeffler Randall and Charlotte Stone. They’re even pulling out the big guns by offering special limited-edition collabs and capsule collections you won’t find anywhere else. Plus, with more options for petites and a selection of offerings from the brand’s bridal arm, BHLDN, the shop is set to be a shopping destination of its very own.
