Are you ready for a unique kind of L.A. meet-cute? Canadian retailer Aritzia, which is known for carrying a variety of brands as well as a slew of in-house private labels, is set to open up a huge 10,000-square-foot Los Angeles flagship when the Westfield Century City finishes its face-lift (does it get anymore L.A. than that?), but in the meantime, the great northern retailer is giving Angelenos a taste of what’s to come with a pop-up shop at the former Fred Segal space on Melrose (now known as The Center).

Within the 400-square-foot light-filled location, you’ll be able to browse a selection of the store’s offerings especially chosen for L.A.’s unique sense of style.

“Each Aritzia destination, both physical and digital, is considered individually with the goal of creating beautiful and immersive shopping experiences,” the company said in a release.

On the roster: The Group by Babaton, which offers up relaxed pieces with fabrics sourced from Japan and Italy; boho-leaning 1-01 Babaton; Le Fou by Wilfred with romantic Victorian pieces; and the special collab between in-house line Wilfred and L.A.’s own Citizens of Humanity denim, which has both skinnies and cropped jeans.

Luxe leather bags from the Auxiliary collection, scarves by Babaton, and oversied Diamond Mosaic scarves are also available. But it is just a showroom, so unfortunately, you wont’ be stepping out of the custom-designed space (keep an eye out for the plants, sculptures, and modern still-life painting by California artist Anna Valdez while you’re browsing) with a shopping bag. Instead, the retailer’s website will be offering up free expedited shipping to Los Angeles through December 4 if you find anything you need to have ASAP.

The Aritzia L.A. showroom is located at 1800 Melrose Avenue, in Los Angeles. For more information, visit us.aritzia.com.
