Last week, British shoe brand didn’t just open up a new Beverly Hills shop (read about Jimmy Choo’s sparkling new Rodeo Drive flagship here), the brand celebrated the release of its new Choo.08 collection with a celebrity filled party at the estate of art collector Eugenio Lopez Alonso. His sprawling midcentury estate set the stage for celebs such as January Jones, Christina Hendricks and Kiernan Shipka of Mad Men along with Zoë Kravitz, Minnie Driver and Kate Bosworth, who all showed up clad in Jimmy Choos, of course. The night’s entertainment was provided by a set by Bastille, but before the band took the stage, Solange was at the turntables, making her first appearance since Coachella, where she was joined by sister Beyoncé on stage.

Naturally, Solange was wearing a pair of strappy neon Choos, but she paired with an outfit that — and eyeliner — that matched almost perfectly. Her amazing jacket was from a brand called Pushbutton, and she paired with an Acne Studios knot-front skirt. Everything was a nearly-identical shade of eye-searing orange, but it was anything but a boring monochromatic look. We love Solange’s daring sense of style and her fresh take on evening dressing (when was the last time you spotted her in an LBD?), so take a few pointers from the chanteuse, songwriter and DJ and you’ll stand out just like she did.

ASOS Longline Crepe Blazer

ASOS Longline Crepe Blazer

Solange wore a super fashion-forward blazer from Pushbutton that was super clean and tailored and featured a shocking surprise in the back — there was a huge cutout that showed a lot of skin. You’ll be hard pressed to find those sort of details anywhere else, but to get the same oversized look and shocking shade, try the ASOS Longline Crepe Blazer ($103.48). Wear it open and slouchy if you want a relaxed look or button it up and stand up straight if you plan on wearing alone the way that Solange did. For those jut a little less daring, it’s a great layering piece that’ll stand out no matter what you pair it with. Tiptoe into the bright blazer trends by wearing it with dark denim and your go-to basics, but for something daring, go all out with a head-to-toe traffic stopping outfit of matching colors.

Available at ASOS.

1. Solange’s Acne Studios skirt is short — really short — but something like the Three Dots Ruched Midi Skirt ($84) is perfectly appropriate for real life. And if you think an orange skirt won’t serve your wardrobe well, think again: pair it with a white tank and chambray for a cool, sexy tomboy look or a silk blouse for a nonchalant, très French take on cocktail hour.

2. When you’re not wearing anything under a jacket, you need something to cover up — or bring attention to — that expanse of skin. Try the Orion Metallic Body Chain ($20), which will shimmer and shine with your every move.

3. Stacking rings are a great, easy trend to incorporate into your spring rotation, but sometimes the delicate rings can get lost. Let the Alexis Bittar Elements Stack Ring ($103.85) do all the work for you. It looks like a stack, but it’s just one ring.

4. And you might want to skip out on matching shoes, too. It looks great on Solange, but in reality, you might look a little dyed to match. Get the same chunky, strappy silhouette as Solange’s Jimmy Choos with the Dolce Vita Niro Sandal ($158.95).
