Make way for the maestro of European party wear and 24/7 nightlife, because Roberto Cavalli is bringing his trademark over-the-top glam to a new hotel and club that’s set to open in Downtown L.A. adjacent to the Staples Center. The new high rise, which is expected to be completed in 2018, will bring a Cavalli-designed hotel, club and a retail space that’s sure to give the area a major dose of high-watt shine.

Estimated to cost about $1 billion dollars, the Fig Central complex will include luxury residences as well as the Cavalli Hotel and Club (the designer launched his hospitality brand in the States with a location in Miami, naturally, but has properties all over the Mediterranean). The entire project spans three high rises and will include 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor retail space and a restaurant with a celebrity chef. Curbed LA adds that the project will also include “an expansive outdoor green space for residents that will sit above the retail and commercial component of the project and include a dog park, playground, and jogging track.”

“Developers Oceanwide Holdings Company are wrapping the whole thing in an enormous LED ribbon sign measuring more than 32,000 square feet,” the site adds. “The great heights of this towering development will alter not only street life on Figueroa, but also the physical skyline.”

Consider the new Cavalli Hotel and Club as L.A.’s answer to South Beach’s party scene, and with events such as basketball games, concerts and more happening just steps away at Staples Center, we’re sure that celebs will be frequenting this hotspot clad in their highest heels and loudest prints.
