Rachel Zoe Has a Subscription Box, Too

Superstylist and designer Rachel Zoe knows what ladies want. She’s had her own reality television show, a successful fashion and accessories line and on top of it all, she’s a mom and still maintains her celebrity styling clientele. Plus, she’s still working hard on the Zoe Report, her editorial site that dishes the latest in beauty and fashion to the masses. But that’s not stopping the multi-hyphenate from expanding further. Zoe announced that she’s introducing the Box of Style, a subscription shopping service that promises big ticket items.

The Box of Style

The Box of Style is a quarterly subscription service, so it won’t be as frequent as your Birchbox delivery. And priced at $100 per box or $350 if you’re willing to commit to a year of deliveries. And also unlike Birchbox, the Box of Style won’t be filled with samples. Instead, Zoe’s box will contain items that equal a $300 value in each delivery, including one item that’s valued at $100 alone. That “hero item” will be revealed to shoppers before they commit to purchasing a box (though not if you’ve opted for the yearlong plan), and the rest of the box will be filled with an assortment of beauty, home and lifestyle goods that all have the Rachel Zoe seal of approval. This month, the hero product is a screw cuff from Fashion Trends Daily favorite Miansai.

Unlike other subscription services such as Dollar Shave Club, a MeUndies subscription or cooking service Blue Apron, Zoe’s Box of Style is banking completely on the “treat yourself” mentality instead of offering a utility or service. But we have a feeling that Zoe’s service is sure to be a success, since she’s got the mighty Midas touch when it comes to fashion — we’re just waiting for this one to turn to gold.
