The Victoria’s Secret Angels Power Up with Puku

Backstage at any fashion show, it’s a flurry of hair, hairspray, makeup artists, manicurists and more, not to mention the press buzzing around, bloggers taking selfies and of course, the models themselves. But that’s backstage at any fashion show that’s not the Victoria’s Secret fashion show — which is hands down the most extravagant and glamorous fashion show there is.

So imagine all of the chaos multiplied (because not every fashion show is televised and watched by millions) and you’ve got a scene ripe for disaster. And drained batteries, too, because in addition to being models, each and every Victoria’s Secret angel is a bonafide social media tidalwave, constantly updating her feeds and permanently attached to her phone. That’s why, for the first time, Victoria’s Secret teamed with a tech company to keep their girls powered up. Puku, a New York-based company known for blending high design with innovation, kept the angels plugged in backstage with one-of-a-kind chargers emblazoned with the Victoria’s Secret logo.

“Victoria’s Secret is a global, iconic brand and their fashion show is the biggest fashion event in the world,” says Meck Khalfan, CEO and Co-Founder of Puku. “Puku is excited to align with Victoria’s Secret as the official charging partner of the fashion show.  We are thrilled to have the opportunity to keep the models and team charged throughout the night.”

The Puku chargers were available for all of the angels and backstage guests so that they could Tweet, Instagram, post videos and photos as well as update their other social media streams without fear of draining their batteries. Bold and beautiful, the bright pink Puku S8 chargers will be available for sale online following the show in a new signature pink, though sadly without the VS logo. And it’s just the beginning of the partnership. As the official portable charger for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, there are sure to be plenty more opportunities for the two brands to create more model-approved tech.

Be sure to keep an eye out for Puku backstage during the Victoria’s Secret fashion show when it airs on CBS December 9. To get your own Puku charger, visit www.gotpuku.com.
