Angelenos got a taste of Cos when it landed inside Opening Ceremony with a temporary pop-up shop, but now, the brand has landed with a permanent location on Beverly Boulevard, joining the neighborhood’s already chic offerings. Sitting in the former Banana Republic space, the store rubs shoulders with Maje, Sandro and Iro and brings the line’s signature minimal pieces for guys, girls and even kids.

The Beverly Hills opening marks the label’s first foray into retail here in the States. And while New Yorkers will have to wait another month or so to brag about their own location, shoppers in sunny California can get their fill of the brand’s goods right now. The store, which spans two stories and over 5,500 square feet is filled with plenty of natural light and rustic detail. In fact, brand director Marie Honda chose the space on Beverly Boulevard because it closely resembles locations that Cos has overseas. So much like H&M locations around the world have the same look and feel, stepping into L.A.’s Cos is like a quick jaunt to Europe (we can all dream, right?).

Womenswear dominates the ground floor, with the entire offering on display, including plenty of coats and clothing as well as shoes, accessories and more set on raw iron fixtures and modular wooden displays. The fall collection was inspired by Downtown Los Angeles’ booming art scene, the iconic architecture of the Eames house in Pacific Palisades and all of the mid-century classics sprinkled throughout Southern California. Upstairs, you’ll find the mens’ line as well as a small area dedicated to the line’s children’s clothing.

In addition to the clothes, the store is dusted with cool touches such as potted succulents, clean and modern furniture and seating areas just in case you need to take a load off while you’re stocking up on these Swedish staples.

Cos is located at 357 North Beverly Boulevard in Beverly Hills. For more information, visit www.cosstores.com.
