Menswear Goes Green For Spring

Designers went green for guys this spring, but not all guys will be green with envy at this trend. At Steven Alan, New York’s preppy-downtown mixmaster, a model wore kelly green pants with a turquoise shirt. This requires much bravery off the runway. While that color combo isn’t for the faint of heart, other designers showed more wearable versions of the verdant pants. Green showed up at Shipley & Halmos in a more dusty khaki hue and at J. Crew, more muted green pants were perfectly paired with a navy blazer and a sailor sweater for an off-duty Nantucket shoreman vibe that we’ll be eager to adopt come spring.
